How is breast implant size selected?

Breast implants selection happens through a thorough discussion between the surgeon and the patient. Patient’s desired breast size is considered, but patient’s anatomy may be the driving force for the ultimate decision of implant size. Your surgeon will help make recommendations on the implants that would best enhance your breasts whether it is for a natural look or a more augmented appearance. If you desire to increase your breast size by approximately one cup size, then you may need a 150-250cc implants based on your body shape. Your chest width, tissue thickness, laxity and body shape will determine what size of implant you may need. Not every patient may be able to accommodate very large implants, and your surgeon will guide you through the selection.
