AquaGold® Fine Touch micro-needling can be used on all skin types and for adults of any age. Therefore, you can begin treatments as soon as you see signs of visible aging. However, the treatments may not be recommended for people with specific skin conditions. Treatments are not advised for pregnant women either.
What are the risks associated with using AquaGold® Fine Touch?
While this form of micro-needling only considered slightly invasive, you do still have to be aware of some of the risks. These risks may include redness or peeling, temporary sensitivity to the sun, pain or irritation. However, with that being said, AquaGold® Fine Touch treatments generally are considered safe and rarely produce negative side effects. The minimally invasive cosmetic application produces little if any discomfort.
Can I return to work after an AquaGold® Fine Touch session?
Yes. Patients typically resume their normal activities after an AquaGold® Fine Touch session.
What should I avoid after an AquaGold® Fine Touch session?
Avoid sun exposure between micro-needling sessions and refrain from participating in high-intensity sports or physical activities 24 hours to 72 hours after you receive treatment.
Why is AquaGold® Fine Touch treatments gentler?
AquaGold® Fine touch needles are applied perpendicularly, which reduces micro-tears or bleeding, thereby gently delivering skin-enhancing fillers and ingredients into the papillary dermis.

Some of the substances that are used in AquaGold® Fine Touch treatments include the following:
- Fillers that include hyaluronic acid – a substance that revitalizes tired-looking skin and naturally smoothes fine lines and wrinkles. This substance is generated in the body.
- Growth factors that renew skin cells such as Platelet-rich Plasma therapies.
- Neurotoxins, such as Dysport or Botox.
- Substances that reduce pigmentation.
- *Mesotherapy ingredients. (*Mesotherapy is a technique that injects enzymes, hormones, vitamins, and/or plant extracts into the skin to revitalize it and tighten it. It was developed by a French doctor, Michel Pistor, in 1952.)
- Stem cells.
How long are treatment sessions using AquaGold® Fine Touch?
AquaGold® Fine Touch micro-needling sessions take about 20 to 30 minutes. Multiple treatments, spaced several weeks apart, are typically advised.
How is my skin prepared for an AquaGold® Fine Touch session?
Your face is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied to prevent any feelings of discomfort.
What treatment schedule should I follow to obtain the best results of Aqua Gold?
To achieve maximum results, patients may be advised to schedule 3 AquaGold® Fine Touch treatments every 4 to 6 weeks.
