How quickly should I expect to recover after picosure?

You can resume daily activities after you undergo a laser session. However, you will experience some skin tenderness, swelling, and redness for about 24 hours.

What are the side effects of picosure?

Temporary side effects include a little swelling and redness at the treatment site. Any unwanted pigmentation that is related to acne scarring will slightly whiten during the laser treatment and darken over the next 24 hours. The pigmented skin that has been treated gradually sheds over time.

How does picosecond laser work with respect to smoothing wrinkles?

The fractional piece of the picosecond laser works by targeting the UV-damaged dermis without affecting the epidermis. This laser induces microinjury sites help renew the collagen and elastin fibers. Because collagen and elastin growth is stimulated, the skin continues to be revitalized after the therapy is completed.

Am I a good candidate for picosecond wrinkle removal treatments?

If you display fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes and mouth and on the arms and hands, you can benefit from this form of laser treatment.

What are the treatment intervals for removing pigmentation, scars, or wrinkles?

While treatment intervals span about 2 to 4 weeks, it may take 8 weeks for people with darker skin. Each patient’s case is unique and may need more or less time, as required.

What else can I expect after picosecond treatment?

You may also, in some cases, see some mild bruising or experience tingling sensation that feel like you have a slight sunburn. Although few and far between, adverse effects may include hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, mild edema or erythema, and infection or scarring. By following the post-treatment instructions given by you doctor, the patient greatly reduces the possibility of an adverse reaction.
