FAQ
How much does an Ultherapy® procedure cost?
The cost of the treatment depends on the area to be treated and the extent of the treatment intensity. You can schedule a consultation at Houston Dermatology and Plastic Surgery and receive a treatment plan and cost.
Who is a suitable candidate for Ultherapy®?
A good Ultherapy® candidate has mild to moderate skin laxity where the skin begins to feel and look less firm. Examples include a lowered eyebrow line, loose skin on the neck, sagging under the chin, and lines or wrinkles on the chest. Of course, the best way to find out if you’re an Ultherapy® candidate is to consult our trained staff at Houston Dermatology and Plastic Surgery.

What is a Liquid Facelift?
A liquid facelift is a combination of injectable procedures using Botox and fillers to achieve a more youthful facial appearance. For some patients, these procedures may delay the need for surgical correction. Results may last for several months and can be maintained with regular follow-ups. Some patients may need Botox to smooth away fine lines. Fillers are used to augment their cheek volume and improve their deep facial lines or to make their lips fuller.
What is a Mini Facelift?
A mini facelift is performed through a smaller incision than a full facelift and thus has some limitations. It is ideal for younger patients that may need only a minor lift. Because the incision is not carried into the hair line, only a minimal amount of skin is removed. Recovery is faster than with the full facelift, and thus this procedure is often called “the weekend facelift”.
What is a Short Scar Facelift?
Short scar facelift, also called Minimal Access Cranial Suspension (MACS) Lift, is designed to address the cheek area and helps to reduce jowls, creating smoother cheeks and reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds (the groove between nose and corners of the lips). It is done though a shorter incision than a full facelift and thus has a faster recovery time. This procedure does not address the neck but is ideal for patients that are looking to refresh their mid-facial area and are desiring a subtle change without a lot of down time.
