For our patients in Houston, Katy, Sugar Land and nearby areas in Texas who want to skip the cost and hassle of plastic surgery and/or liposuction, and seek a non-invasive body contouring treatment, we proudly recommend CoolSculpting.  CoolSculpting is an innovative new cosmetic procedure that uses a patented cooling device to safely freeze away fat from specific problem areas in the body.

“It can be quite scary walking into a plastic surgeons office. So many worries run through your mind. Will they be welcoming? Do they really know what they are doing? Are they going to try and push things I don’t want? Are they just wanting my money without caring about my actual wants, needs, and recovery? Those with a ton of other things will worry you. You want someone who will sit you down and make you feel relaxed. That is if you are going in for a facial, a few injections of Botox, or even something more complex like a breast augmentation.

I stumbled across Sugar Land Face and Body while researching and looking for the perfect place to get CoolSculpting done. From the moment I walked in the door I felt safe and at home. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful and full of energy. I didn’t wait long at all in the waiting room before meeting with Dr. Humble. He was so brilliant and informative. Not once did he try to upset sell me. In fact told me I wouldn’t need all of what I was asking for. He introduced me to RN Marty thereafter. She blew me away with how much knowledge she is packed with!

I’ve now have had CoolSculpting all over my legs and can’t express how happy I am with the results! Almost brings me to tears. Never thought I’d really be able to get rid of this stubborn cellulite and feel completely comfortable in a bikini. I’ve also had the Platelet Rich Plasma Facial. By far the most comfortable facial with REAL results that I’ve ever had. I recommend it to EVERYONE!!

I am so thankful for Sugar Land Face and Body. I stand behind them 100% and highly recommend to anyone that wants to be treated like a princess and wants to walk away looking like a queen!!”

FAQ

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting® can reduce inches from problem areas that typically do not respond to diet and exercise, such as love handles, bra bulges, and pockets of fatty tissue that may build up in the abdomen, buttocks, hips, arms, and thighs. CoolSculpting gently freezes fat cells in those areas permanently eliminating between 15%-22% of fat cells per treatment, hence, multiple sessions are recommended.

How does CoolSculpting work?

Clinical studies have demonstrated that fat cells die when exposed to extreme cold. Once these fat cells are destroyed by the CoolSculpting treatment, the body eliminates them through its natural elimination processes. The CoolSculpting procedure is performed using a state-of-the-art unique hand-piece that delivers optimally controlled cold to precise subdermal layers of skin and muscle tissue. You won’t feel any discomfort during the procedure, thanks to this revolutionary device. CoolSculpting freezes away up to 20% of fat cells in each treatment area, and is ideal for adults who maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and a stable and healthy weight, but who want to reduce stubborn fatty deposits that diet and exercise cannot eliminate. CoolSculpting is highly effective as a spot reduction treatment, but it does not achieve the same results as liposuction, which provides more dramatic body contouring, nor the same degree of skin tightening and lifting as a body lift, tummy tuck or other surgical procedure. Nonetheless, you may combine a CoolSculpting treatment with any surgical procedure or with liposuction, in order to achieve more dramatic and significant improvements. CoolSculpting is not recommended for patients pursuing significant weight loss, nor is it a suitable treatment for obesity.

What are the CoolSculpting Results?

Natural, gradual fat reduction. CoolSculpting treatments produce results that mimic the process of natural weight loss, as fat cells destroyed by the treatment continue to be gradually eliminated by the body over time, producing a subtle, ongoing effect. You can expect to see about a 20% reduction of fat in the treated areas about three to four weeks after treatment, becoming increasingly noticeable over the course of two to four months.

What is CoolSculpting Recovery like?

Safe, non-invasive, and no downtime! The true beauty of CoolSculpting is that it is non-invasive and does not require anesthesia or incisions, leaves no scars, and is considered one of the safest and least invasive body contouring procedures available today! You will be free to resume your daily activities immediately after the procedure. In fact, it is not uncommon for patients to come in for a CoolSculpting treatment during their lunch break! CoolSculpting produces natural-looking results that can last several years. Which procedure is more safe: CoolSculpting or Liposuction?

Both procedures are very safe. However, CoolSculpting is non-invasive and requires no anesthesia or incisions. The less you have to invade the body in any procedure, the safer it becomes. On the other hand, liposuction is considered an minimally invasive surgery, requiring anesthesia and small-less than one centimeter incisions.

How does the CoolSculpting and liposuction procedure differ?

CoolSculpting – This procedure will remove excessive fat cells from under the skin, without surgery. It’s a non-invasive procedure that requires no cutting, stitching, or anesthesia. It uses a special tool that will suck in and cool certain rolls of fat to a freezing temperature. Your body will then naturally rid itself of the frozen injured cells via natural processes. Results are typically noticeable after a few weeks, and the final results within 3 months. Liposuction – Small incisions are required to utilize a narrow and long tool for suction, which vacuums out fat cells, therefore, mechanically removing them from specific areas of the body. Local anesthesia or sedation will be required.

Liposuction And CoolSculpting – What Are the Differences?

Liposuction and CoolSculpting are both used by physicians to help reduce the amount of fat in a person’s body. And, both of these procedures permanently remove the existing targeted fat cells in the areas treated by the physician. Cool Sculpting is a noninvasive way of removal of fat and liposuction is a minimally invasive way of mechanically removing fat cells.

Which procedure is more effective: Coolsculpting or Liposuction?

CoolSculpting has been known to eliminate up to 25% of fat cells in the area where it’s performed. And liposuction is capable of eliminating pounds of fat, while remaining safe. By mechanically removing fat cells in large areas of the body liposuction would be considered more effective. However, with both procedures it will require healthy habits on the patient’s part to avoid fat cells from building back up.

How long does each procedure of Coolsculpting or Liposuction take?

CoolSculpting – One session will normally take less than one hour. Current recommendations is to treat each area two times separated by about one month. There isn’t any necessary downtime or recovery time with CoolSculpting. Liposuction – Normally liposuction only requires one treatment to obtain good results. Depending on the area(s) being treated, the surgery will probably take 1-2 hours. Even though it’s an outpatient surgery and you can return home that day, recovery time will take a few days, with restricted activity for up to 3 weeks. Your surgeon will most likely also have you wear a special compression garment while recovering. Final results can take up to several months to notice, due to initial swelling.

What is the cost difference between liposuction and CoolSculpting?

The price between the two procedures varies on the number of areas treated. Cool sculpting requires measurements to determine the number of areas and size of hand piece necessary to get the results desired, while liposuction is based on time and amount.
